The overview

Built with purpose.

InvitationCard is an Android wedding invitation maker developed by Muhammad Ibrahim Isah. It brings Hausa and Nigerian wedding templates, guided event details, and card editing into a mobile workflow, from choosing a design to exporting an invitation.

The Flutter and Dart application uses Riverpod for state management, with a Python and FastAPI backend for invitation generation and rendering. Couples can browse 25 templates, enter couple, family, and event details, choose a visual direction, then refine text, images, shapes, borders, and layers on the canvas. Local drafts and PNG export support the final editing workflow.

The gallery follows the Sapphire Dreams template with a fictional wedding for Yusuf Bello and Maryam Ibrahim in Kano on 12 December 2026. The locally rendered invitation and native Sapphire editor demonstrate template customization, typography, layers, and PNG export. Template ratings are sample data.

01 / The challenge

The question we explored.

Wedding invitations need to carry family names, ceremony details, and a visual style that fits the celebration. The challenge was to make those choices manageable on a phone while giving couples enough control to personalize the finished card.

02 / The approach

Thoughtful decisions. Clear direction.

A guided flow connects template discovery with couple, family, and event forms, followed by style choices and a rendered preview. A layered canvas provides finer control over the design, while local drafts and PNG export carry the invitation through to a reusable image.
