The overview

Built with purpose.

EnviroTrack is an Android Environmental Monitoring and Reporting System developed by Muhammad Ibrahim Isah. It brings weather conditions, air quality, forecasts, and community incident reporting into a connected mobile application.

Built with Java and XML, the application combines Material interfaces and MPAndroidChart visualizations with Retrofit weather integrations and Firebase services for accounts and reports. The source also includes the Guardian engine, which uses deterministic risk scoring and regional report clustering to organize environmental incident signals.

The gallery shows the native Android application with a local Kano weather dataset, a fictional Amina Yusuf profile, sample environmental reports, and illustrative notices. Firebase emulators provide the account and report data. The demonstrated incident was submitted through the native form and saved to the local database.

01 / The challenge

The question we explored.

Environmental conditions and community observations are easier to interpret when readings, trends, and incident details stay connected. The application needed to present several weather and air-quality metrics clearly on a phone while making environmental reports structured and easy to revisit.

02 / The approach

Thoughtful decisions. Clear direction.

A shared mobile overview connects current conditions with selectable forecast charts and expanded pollutant readings. Structured reporting forms, status summaries, report history, and focused notification details extend that environmental context into a consistent reporting interface.
